Why do I need the nozzle on my blowdryer?

Why does my hairdresser use the nozzle when blowdrying my hair? 

The What 

The “concentrator” aka the nozzle is an attachment that comes with your hairdryer. 

The How 

The concentrator helps to change the flow of the air coming from your dryer. 

The Why

When adding your concentrator to your blowdry. You help to concentrate the airflow in one direction. This helps to smooth your hair. Or you can add volume to the hair, by concentrating the airflow up and away from the scalp. 

The Tip 

• “Rough dry”  your hair without the concentrator til about 70% dry. 

• Then clip off sections of your hair and add the concentrator to your blow dryer. You can use a paddle brush, vent brush, or round brush. 

• Make sure to always your concentrator down, working with your cuticle of the hair.
